Zuyd UAS (University of Applied Sciences) is a midrange university (13.500 students) in the very south of the Netherlands. Zuyd offers a wide range of study programmes and short courses focused on the interests of students and the needs of the (Eu)regional, national and international labour market. Zuyd offers about 33 bachelor’s degrees and 13 master’s degrees, most of them taught in Dutch.
The Hotel and Facility Management faculty provides two Master programmes (Innovative Hospitality Management and Master Facility and Real Estate Management), two Bachelor programmes (Hotel Management School and Facility Management), an Associate degree (Facility Management, which started this academic year) and several courses/trainings such as Contract- and Supplier Management and Account Management.
Multidisciplinary The Zuyd UAS knowledge network comprises people who are active both within and outside Zuyd University of Applied Sciences and who have architectural, ICT, facilities, care, or managerial backgrounds. They are convinced that good results can only be achieved for these research fields by means of a multidisciplinary approach; an approach where researchers, lecturers, students, and practitioners work together, perform research together, carry out tests together - in short, learn together. In this way, Zuyd UAS create situations in which facility support contributes to the achievement of goals, by creating, maintaining, and managing environments (including Built Environments) through the integration of people, processes, space, and technology. That is the aim of Facility Management, and that is what this research centre contributes.
