EuroFM International Autumn School 2025

In the upcoming academic year the EuroFM International Autumn School Facility Management 2025 will again take place. Each year in October, Zuyd University of Applied Sciences, as a EuroFM partner, organizes a successful international week with 180 students from 4 countries and 6 universities participating. This week is a nice mix of hard work, teamwork, and plenty of fun. This year the week is scheduled from Monday 6th to Friday 10th of October 2025 and will take place in Heerlen (NL). Lecturers can add these dates to their diary so it may be considered when planning the next academic year.

The students will take the challenge, presenting impressive and innovative ideas. During this international week, Facility Management students learn to collaborate across borders. At the same time, they learn how cultural differences influence their field of expertise.

Reasons for taking part in this international week vary per student, but they might include: expanding your knowledge, improving your English, increasing your confidence, receiving EC’s, experiencing a new culture and/or just having some fun during, for example, the party that will be organized by students of Zuyd University. This years topic will be announced soon.

Please note that Zuyd University would like to have received the students’ applications before September 22nd, 2025. You can apply by sending an email to Marinka Hollander.

World Workplace Europe Student Challenge 2022

EuroFM Education is working with FMN, EMEA IFMA and IFMA Foundation on a Student Challenge for World Workplace Europe 2022. We are interested in hearing from FM students on their ‘Reaction to COP26 – Is FM doing enough and is doing enough, good enough?’ We want to hear from Students to determine what mandate should associations be taking to ensure the FM discipline is making a real contribution to reducing carbon emissions and ensuring next generations have a future that meets and goes beyond SDG goals.

Due to the challenges of the increased number of cases around Europe the World Workplace Europe 2022 conference is moved to 1-2 June. For this reason, we have had to change dates for the Student Challenge. The Student Challenge is supported with  EuroFM Education in collaboration with FMN, EMEA IFMA and IFMA Foundation. We are interested in hearing from FM students on their ‘Reaction to COP26 – Is FM doing enough and is doing enough, good enough?’. Students who are interested in participating at the Student Challenge can do so by following these steps but more detailed information is available in the attached Brochure:

    by 1 March.
  • In middle of March, students will receive the news if they are selected or not to the Student Challenge. They be put into teams with students around Europe to work on the theme ‘Reaction to COP26 – Is FM doing enough and is doing enough, good enough?’ and develop a mandate for FM discipline can make a real contribution to reducing carbon emissions and ensure next generations have a future that goes beyond SDG goals.
  • At the conference the Student Challenge Teams will pitch their results to a jury who will select the winning team on stage on the 2nd of June during the WWEU22 conference.

FM for a Sustainable Future

What will it take to achieve sustainable, long-term growth for our facilities? To meet urgent climate objectives and European Green Deal initiatives takes circular, clean, carbon-neutral action. To support a hybrid workforce takes a flexible, experience-driven approach. To maintain resilience and agility takes technology-enabled business transformation. To further engagement and growth takes focusing culture on innovation, inclusivity and positive impact.

Our industry is essential to creating and operating environments that can meet modern demands, adapt to rapid shifts and withstand future disruption. World Workplace Europe explores the expanding skillsets, adaptable mindsets and digital toolkits necessary to sustain our facilities, our people, our careers and our planet.

World Workplace Europe is the largest and most well-respected conference for facility management and related stakeholders in the region. Held annually, World Workplace Europe facilitates idea-sharing and knowledge-exchange between professionals who support and sustain the built environment to ensure smarter, more efficient, healthier, sustainable and safer facilities.
