EN15221-3, 4, 5 and 6 officially published

EuroFM has received confirmation from CEN that the new facility management standards EN15221-3, 4, 5 and 6 have officially been published.

CEN members (BSI, DIN, NEN, UNI, etc.) now need to announce the existence of the standards by January 2012. They then will have to publish the standards as official national standards (for example DIN EN 15221-6) and withdraw existing national standards.

So, it is now official! We have a single European standard for:

• the classification of facilities, assets and services
• the measurement of space and areas
• the development and management of processes and quality.

All based on the definition of facility management from EN15221-1 and its focus: Space & Infrastructure and People & Organisation.
