EuroFM Awards
The first prestigious European FM Awards were held in Zurich in 2007, and we continued this recognition in 2008 (Manchester), 2009 (Amsterdam), 2010 (Madrid), 2011 (Vienna), 2012 (Copenhagen) and 2013 in Prague, honoring best practice and excellence within the European Facility Management profession across practice, research and education areas.
The awards highlight the challenge for facility management professionals in light of the current climate whilst still tackling the national, cultural, regulatory and language differences across the different European regions.
Student poster competition
Our annually EuroFM awards consisted this year of three categories: Student Poster competition, FM researcher of the year and Partner Across Borders Award.
For the student poster competition a selection of 14 students were made, to compete for the best research project that was well-visualized in a A0 portrait poster.

On Thursday the 23rd May, the top three were chosen to battle out for once more on Friday 24th May.
The top 3 students were:
- Cecile Arnold
- Steven Schouten
- Dau Kim Ngay
After all three students once again presented their research findings, the public voted on who would be crowned the winner.

And the winner is….. Steven Schouten from the Hague University in The Netherlands.
He won on his following research questions: “How can the NEN-EN 15221-2 contribute to an efficient outsourcing process and a manageable contract in IFM outsourcing?”
If you would like to know more concerning his research please contact us on eurofm@eurofm.org
